Job Description

In the vibrant city of Eindhoven, on the premises of our client, you have an important role as a Shunter. You are essentially a kind of conductor who ensures everything runs smoothly on the business premises.


  • Smart container switching: You ensure that containers are efficiently swapped on the business premises.
  • Assisting in the sorting hall: In the new sorting hall, you help your colleagues so they can do their work well.
  • Skilled with the hook truck: You skillfully move the containers with a hook truck.
  • Communicating with a two-way radio: You easily communicate with your colleagues using a portable radio system.
  • Keeping track: Every container you move is neatly recorded in a computer.
  • Working fixed hours: You work fixed hours, 5 days a week in staggered shifts between 06:00 and 21:00. Once every four weeks, you are willing to work on Saturday from 07:00 to 13:00.

Terms of Employment

Salary indication: The gross hourly wage for this position ranges between €15 and €18 per hour, depending on your knowledge and experience.

Job Requirements

Experience: Preferably, you have experience in shunting, which is a valuable addition to the role.

Language skills: You have a good command of both Dutch and English, which is essential for smooth communication within the team.

Physical skills: Opening and closing the steel doors of containers requires arm strength, and you are capable of performing these tasks independently.

Proactive and results-oriented attitude: You have a proactive attitude and a results-oriented mindset. Additionally, you work independently and are aware of safety regulations.

Flexibility: You are flexible and willing to assist with forklift operations if necessary, contributing to a versatile work environment.

Customer-friendliness: Naturally, you are customer-friendly and always ready to support your colleagues. You are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Living in the Eindhoven area: You are located in the vicinity of Eindhoven, which contributes to efficient accessibility and engagement with the local community.
